Notes: As time went by, money became a concern to Simeon and Bess.
One by one they sold off six of their seven acres south of Fort
Bragg, including the ocean-front acre with their original house.
Simeon ordered a factory-built, two-bedroom house from a catalog and
had it installed on the last acre of their original seven acres —
the acre furthest from the ocean.
This was the final home of Simeon and Bess. |
