Notes:  The three photos at the right show Lorraine circa 1940 when she was 18. Lorraine was a member of the Napa Valley Country Club and was a golf team captain and a member of several bowling teams.  Her proudest golf achievements were winning the NVCC's championship tournament for women — not once or twice, but three times!  She was an excellent golfer with a 12 handicap.  The three photos below record her tournament wins. Lorraine was employed at the Silverado Country Club and retired from there three years prior to her death. A smoker for many years, Lorraine died of lung cancer at age 54½.
