Notes:  [Gertie's middle name is spelled "Isabel" in Sources 85, 139, and 433; however, it is spelled "Isabell" in Source 435.  I assume the latter is the correct spelling because it is in a more contemporary and primary source.
Gertie's birth year is given as 1896 in Sources 85, 139, and 433; however, it is given as 1895 in Source 832 (the Census of Canada, 1901).  In this case I assume 1896 is correct because (a) the census also gives Gertie's age as "5" and (b) age 5 gives a calculated birth year of 1896.

In September 1902, Gertie's mother Ella died of typhoid fever in Wallaceburg, Ontario.  The photo at the right shows Gertrie at about this time in 1902.

Gertie's father Frank brought his young family to California in late 1902.  After a brief stay in Corning, California, they settled in Napa by 1904 and remained there until Christmas 1911.  Frank then moved his family to 338 Almeria Avenue in North Granada, California.  Gertie married Lester Webb in her father's home in North Granada on Tuesday, 12 Aug 1913.
Click to enlarge Click to enlarge The two photos at the left show Gertie in the middle of a Hancock family gathering in April 1927 at 2425 Second Street in Napa.  The Shell Oil tanks and buildings in the background were next door to the Hancock's house.  Gertie's last name was then Webb.

The two photos at the right show Gertie in 1931.  In the second photo, Gertie is shown as the Rebekah District Deputy President of Half Moon Bay District No. 24 and a member of Pilarcitos Rebekah Lodge No. 286 in Half Moon Bay, San Mateo County, California.

The photograph below right shows Gertie in approximately 1955.
