Milton M. McDermott Milton M. McDermott & Viola Notes:  Mac grew up in the 1920s in the Carneros district of Napa, next door to the Theodore Williams family, and a few houses away from the Ed McFarren family.  The photo at the left is of Mac in 1920.  The photo at the right shows Mac in 1924 with Viola Williams.

Mac worked at Mare Island Naval Shipyard.

Mac had three children from his first marriage:  a son born in 1945, a son born in 1947, and a daughter born in 1960.  Milton M. McDermott et al The photo at the left shows Mac standing, with his second son and Gayle Whitthorne on a pony circa 1948.
Elmer Kiser's going away party
Mac was always close to the Williams family.  The photo at the right shows Mac (he is the third person from the right) of Elmer Kiser's going away party, held at the Williams' home at 1615 F Street, Napa, on 19 Jan 1944.  Mac later married Lorraine Williams.  The two color photos below show Mac with Viola Williams Duhig at the Duhig family picnic held in Napa on 10 Aug 1986.

Mac will always be remembered for his non-judgmental ways and his helping people with their "honey do" jobs.

Mac died at age 83½ while on an extended fishing trip in the Sierra.  He had been retired for more than 30 years and was a lifelong resident of Napa, California.
