Notes:  Lovella was a great-granddaughter of Buford Stice, who settled in the Napa valley in 1842.

Lovella attended Rutherford Elementary and St. Helena High Schools.  During World War II she worked for the Excel Pie Shop, a family business, in Vallejo.

Lovella passed away at age 68 and had no funeral.  She was buried at Block 19, 219 Extension, Lot 269 in the St. Helena Public Cemetery.
