| Notes: Bob enlisted in the U.S. Navy on 9 Mar 1938. During World War II he served on the battleship
USS Wyoming and with Utility Squadron No.4. Bob was rated as an Aviation Machinist's Mate and
was commissioned as an officer on 15 May 1943. Bob married Anna circa 1945 — when he was 29 years old and she was 31. In 1950 Bob was on active duty and was stationed at the U.S. Naval Station at Point Mugu, California. He served during the Korean war and on 15 Jul 1951 was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander. His designation was a line officer who is qualified as ... a pilot. In 1954 his family lived in San Diego while he worked there for the Navy. In 1955 he was classified as a temporary officer of the Regular Navy whose permanent rating was enlisted. By 1966 Bob and Anna had moved to Sunnyvale, California, where he was a driver for Santa Clara Transportation. In 1981 Bob was 64 years old and Anna was 66 when she died. His marriage to Anna had lasted about 35 years. In 1983 Bob married Joyce — when he was 66 years old and she was 61. His second marriage lasted for 14 years.
