Notes: Stonewall's father was born in Florida and his mother was born in Georgia.

Stonewall was working as a compositor in Vallejo, California, in 1900. He also had been the City Editor of the New York American. Later he was the editor of the Kissimmee Gazette in Florida.

His last wife died in about 1935. At that time, he was a very thin tall man and quite frail. He was totally blind, could not take care of himself, and lived in Kissimmee, Florida.

Stonewall was then moved in with his daughter and son-in-law in Napa, California. He lived in Napa only a couple of years before passing on.
