Notes:  Noble lived in Neosho, Missouri, married, and had a son there, before the Civil War.  He lived in that part of Missouri that was right on the line where the Confederates were on one side and Yankees on the other side.  When Noble came back from the Civil War, looting and negative stuff was going on, so that's the reason they left there.  First Noble went to Texas and then to California, probably about 1865 or a little thereafter.  After he was out there he sent for his wife and son.  They went to the Berryessa Valley because Mary's brother, F. E. Johnston, had a cattle ranch there.
