Notes:  Sarah's father was an ordained minister.

Sarah's first husband, Frank, disappeared while on a hunting trip — and was probably killed by Indians or wild animals.  She then had to find work to support herself and her two children.

Sarah divorced her second husband, Elkanah Lane, on 5 Feb 1848.  Her first father-in-law, Frank Bird Sr., paid the $5.00 fee that it cost for that divorce.

In 1870, Sarah was living with her third husband near Milton, Kentucky, where she was affectionately known as Granny White.
