Notes:  In his youth in the 1920s, Bill was an avid baseball and football player.  He helped construct the Golden Gate Bridge — which was built from 1933 to 1937.

In 1948 Bill was hired as the first regular, full-time laborer employed by the Napa County Mosquito Abatement District.  In 1951 upon the retirement of the previous Superintendent, Bill was promoted from being the Assistant Superintendent to the position of District Superintendent.  Bill then expanded the operations of the District in line with the rising population of the Napa Valley.  Under his supervision the District operated with the most modern techniques and equipment and became a model of efficiency.  Years later Bill retired from the District.

Bill was a past president of the California Mosquito Control Association, Inc., and was a former member of St. Apollinaris Catholic Church in Napa.  He loved being outdoors, hunting, and fishing — but loved being with people most of all.

Bill was a lifelong resident of Napa until 1997 when, due to ill health, he moved to Azle, Texas, to reside with his daughter Victoria and her husband.  Bill passed away there at age 96.  He was buried in Napa at Tulocay's mausoleum building 11S, crypt 116 in row 5.
