school before going to work for her aunt and uncle, Hazel
and Gilbert Foster, at Foster Lumber in Vallejo.|
In 1940, Adelaide married Bill Imboden, also of Vallejo, where they made their home until moving to Gordon Valley in Napa County in 1942. There they owned and operated a cattle ranch.
A lifelong artist, Adelaide was a member of the Vacaville Art League, Vallejo Art League, and Society of Western Artists. She was also a homemaker who loved to cook, garden, and travel.
Adelaide passed away in 2009 after a long illness. She was survived by her husband and a daughter in Fairfield, a daughter in Napa, a son in Gordon Valley, 7 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
