Notes: Adelaide attended Vallejo schools and a Napa secretarial school before going to work for her aunt and uncle, Hazel and Gilbert Foster, at Foster Lumber in Vallejo.

In 1940, Adelaide married Bill Imboden, also of Vallejo, where they made their home until moving to Gordon Valley in Napa County in 1942. There they owned and operated a cattle ranch.

A lifelong artist, Adelaide was a member of the Vacaville Art League, Vallejo Art League, and Society of Western Artists. She was also a homemaker who loved to cook, garden, and travel.

Adelaide passed away in 2009 after a long illness. She was survived by her husband and a daughter in Fairfield, a daughter in Napa, a son in Gordon Valley, 7 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
