Notes: Bob and Wanda attended Grant Union High School together in Sacramento,
California. Bob was an attractive and well-built young man.
Wanda loved big band music and dancing — and was completely mesmerized
by Bob's dancing talent. They were only 18 when they married — not
long after graduating in 1941
(see the photo at the right).
After Sacramento, Bob and Wanda moved frequently and lived in
Lovelock and Battle Mountain, Nevada; Hastings, Nebraska; Vandalia, Curryville,
Bowling Green, and St. Louis, Missouri.
Their one son was born in June 1943 in Louisiana, Pike County, Missouri.
In July 1944 Wanda began divorce proceedings in St. Louis County, Missouri,
against Bob because he had left her and went to the state of Washington.
A Notice was then published in the St. Louis
Post Dispatch that the case was scheduled to be heard in the City of Clayton,
Missouri, on 18 Sep 1944. |
