Note:  The date in the obituary's phrase returned to the Napa Valley in 1939 is most probably erroneous.  It is contradicted by the obituary of Clyde's wife (Source 240) and by the U.S. 1930 Census (Source 827).  The correct year is probably either 1920 or 1929.
