Notes:  Aaron Rosenburger Strohm* married Catherine Sand on 1 Jan 1868 in Waterloo County, Ontario.  According to their marriage record, Aaron was born about 1843* in Blehneim, Ontario, the son of Johnathan Strohm and Anny Rosenberger.  Catherine was born about 1843, the daughter of Harry Sand and Maria Schenk.  In 1881, they were living in Woolwich Twp., Waterloo County North, Ontario.  They had four children.  These were Milton, 12 years, Levinna, 10 years, Astor, 5 years, and Ezra, 1 year of age.  According to geographical histories, the children were born in Flordale, Ontario.  A daughter Sara Etta had lived from 1872 to 1878.  *By 1891, the family's last name had become Anglicized, and was spelled Strome.  The family included Levinna, Astor, Ezra, Irvine, 9 years, Melvin, 6 years, Shirley, 3 years, and Orrin, 11 months of age.  Aaron was a farmer and a carpenter, and the family's religion was Evangelist.

In 1901, Melvin, Shirley, and Orrin, and Annie, 9 years of age, were living at home.  Astor and Irvine, and eventually Melvin, ended up farming in Saskatchewan.  Aaron Strohm died 27 Apr 1910* in Woolrich Twp., Waterloo County.  The cause of death was a fractured spine suffered when he fell from the roof of a barn, probably his own, located on Lot 100, Conc. GCT.  In 1911, only the youngest child, Annie was living with her mother Catherine.  Shortly after, they probably moved into the town of Elmira.  Catherine died 20 Oct 1920 in Elmira, Woolrich Twp., Waterloo.  Cause of death was from a fall down stairs, causing a concussion, and paralysis.  Both are buried in the Elmira Union Cemetery, Waterloo, Ontario.

According to Family Tree records found on Ancestry.com, Aaron Strohm was born 2 May 1842, Blenhiem Twp.,Oxford, Ontario, and died 27 Apr 1910, Waterloo, Ontario; Catherine Sand was born 18 Aug 1848, Woolrich Twp., Waterloo, Ontario, and died 20 Oct 1910, Waterloo, Ontario.
