| Notes: This is the childhood home of James W. Jacobus. In 1850, at the age of 6,
he was living with his parents, Jacob E. and Rebecca Ann Jacobus.
His brothers and sisters included Mary C., age 13; Hester M., age 11; Ann Eliza,
age 8; and Zenas E., age 2. In 1860, the family was still in Caldwell,
and Mary and Hester had left the home, probably married. The remaining
children included Anna E., age 18, James W., now 16, Zena E., age 12, and the
last born, Sarah E., age 6. |
