| Notes: According to a family genealogy, Alexander Lyman Beach was born 19 Jun 1847 in
Kemptville, Grenville, Ontario. His wife Sarah Jane Bonham was born 2 Dec 1848 in
Fremanneh, Ireland. They were married 2 Dec 1848 in St. George, Ontario.
In the 1880 U.S. census, Alexander and Sarah were living in the Township
of East Orange and Nassau, Sioux County, Iowa. Alexander was a Representative
to the Iowa General Assembly No. 18, representing District 70. He was a
Republican and served from 01/12/1880 to 01/08/1882. He and his wife had eight
children. In 1880, there were six children named in the census, ranging from
10 years to 10 months. Greta was the third child in the family. |
