Notes: Sometime after 1901, Astor and Julia Strome moved from Brandon City, Manitoba, to the
nearby Souris area. In the 1906 Manitoba census, Astor, 31, and Julia, 25, both
born in Ontario, were living on Sec. 14, Twp. 8, R. 21, W1, with a Souris P.O.,
Manitoba. Astor was a farmer, and had 7 horses and 2 milk cows. They had
a daughter Myrtle, 5, and two sons, Wilfred, 3 and Harvey, 2 years, all born in
Manitoba. John Richardson, 13, born in Manitoba, was listed as a servant with
the family. Shortly after the 1906 census, the family moved to Saskatchewan.
