Notes: Ephriam and Marion Miller, and three sons moved to Oregon about 1931. Donald was born 9 Jan 1932 in Hood River, and they finally had a daughter.

In the 1940 U.S. census, the family was living in Odell, Oregon, just south of Hood River. Ephriam, 51, had had 8 years of school, and was listed as a farmer on his own account. Marion, 46, had had 3 years of college. Their children were Earl, 19, 7 years of school; Lawrence, 17, 1 year of high school; Kenneth, 9, 2 years of school; Donald, 8, 1 year of school; and daughter, age 5.
