Notes:  Bettie Jeanne Rhymes was born 21 Jan 1922 in Los Angeles, California.  Her parents were Jack and Virginia Rhymes.  In the 1930 census, when Janice was 8 years old, the family was living at 3151 Cazador Street in Los Angeles.  Her father was an electrician for the City Engineering Department.  By the 1940 U.S. census, Jack Rhymes had died, and Virginia and her daughter Bettie were still living in the same house.  Both were sales ladies in a department store. Bettie married Robert Alfred Miller (Bob) in July of 1955 in El Dorado County, California.  They had one daughter in 1957, when they were living in Alameda County.  Bettie was a bookkeeper.  Unfortunately, the marriage ended in divorce in 1959. Bettie went on to marry a second time, on 2 Jun 1961 in Clark County, Nevada.  Her new husband adopted her daughter.  This marriage also ended in divorce.  Bettie died 6 May 1975 in Santa Monica, California.  Her ashes were scattered at sea.
