Click to enlarge Notes:  Charles was born 18 Nov 1888 in California.  His parents were Andrew Noble and Annie Ambler.  In the 1900 U.S. census, he was living with his parents and older brother Ralph in Ontario, San Bernardino. The photograph to the right shows him sawing wood.  In the 1910 U.S. census, he and Ralph were lodgers in the home of Edwin and Margarita Rowe in Los Angeles.  He was working in an automotive shop.

Charles married Grace Kincaid on 11 Mar 1916 in Santa Barbara County, California.  He registered for the World War draft on 5 Jun 1917, at age 28, but did not serve.  At the time he was employed as a chauffeur, and he and Grace were living at 1638 4th Avenue in the City of Los Angeles.  He was described as being tall and slender, with gray eyes and brown hair.

Sometime before September 1918, Charles and Grace had moved to 3101 Normandy Avenue, Los Angeles.  In the 1920 U.S. census, they had one daughter.  By the 1930 U.S. census, two more daughters had been added to the family.  They were living at 4652 Oak Grove Circle, and Charles was now the shop foreman of the auto shop.

In the 1940 U.S. census, the family was still living on Oak Grove Circle, and Charles was still the shop foreman.  The census reports that he had completed the 1st year of college, and earned $2,100. the previous year.

Charles died 7 Jul 1974.  His last residence was in Los Angeles, and he is buried with the rest of his family in Bellevue Memorial Park, Ontario, California.
