Notes: Emma Rosina Walker was born 21 Sep 1882* in Spring Valley, Lincoln, Nevada. She was the seventh child of Francis Clemons Walker, Sr., and Elizabeth Staheli. She had an older brother, Francis Clemons, Jr., born in 1871, a sister Mary Elizabeth, born in 1872, who died two days later, a sister Wilhelmina Barbara, born in 1873, a brother George Henry, born in 1875, a sister Annie Sophia, born in 1878, and a brother Joseph Antone, born in 1880. Her father was a farmer, who also had a a small herd of cattle.

Emma had three more sisters born in Spring Valley, Nevada. These were Lemira Louisa in 1885, Laura Barbara in 1888, and Clara May in 1890. In the spring of 1892 the children came down with diptheria. Emma, age 10, died 5 Jun 1892. Her brother Joseph, age 12, died 30 Jun 1892. They were buried in the Ursine Cemetery, Ursine (Eagle Valley), Nevada. The cemetery is now known as the Hollinger-Hammond Cemetery or just the Hammond Cemetery.
