Notes:  Dorothy Hutton was born 25 Jul 1891 in California.  She was the daughter of Sutherland Hutton and Josephine Clarke.  In the 1900 U.S. census, Dorothy, 9, was living with her parents at 223 Third Street, Santa Monica, California.  She had a sister, Margarete, 17, and a brother, Thos., 15.  Her father was an "oil expert locater".  In the 1910 U.S. census, she was the only child still at home.  Her father was a dealer of oil land.  She was an assistant librarian in a public library.

Dorothy married Wallazz Beard Eaton on 16 Jan 1912 in Los Angeles, California.  This marriage must have ended in divorce, date unknown.

In the 1920 U.S. census, Dorothy was a playground director.  She married Ralph C. Noble about 1920 or 1921.  In the 1930 U.S. census, she was living with her husband and adoptive daughter, age 2 months, at 4701 17th Street, Los Angeles, California.  They had a nurse maid for the baby.  In the 1940 U.S. census, the couple was still living at 4701 17th Street.  Her mother, Josephine Hutton, now a widow was living with them.  Her husband was the vice principal of a public high school.  It is unknown what happened to the baby.

The couple retired in Rainbow, near Fallbrook.  Dorothy died 6 Oct 1955 in San Diego County, and is buried in Bellevue Memorial Park, Ontario, California.
