Notes: Richard A. Brandon was born 28 Aug 1881 in Ontario, Canada. His parents were of Irish descent, but who they had not been determined. There are two families in the Ontario census records with a Richard Brandon, born about 1882.

Richard married Emma Georgina Detwiller on 7 Jan 1914 in the Rural Municipality of Cornwallis, Manitoba. In the 1916 Manitoba census, they were living in Brandon City, Manitoba. They were rooming with W. J. Abbey, a news agent, and his three sons, ages 14, 10, and 3 years. Emma was a housekeeper, presumably for the household. Richard was a teamster, and the couple were listed as Presbyterian. Emma died 21 Apr 1922, at the age of 40 years. Richard died 9 Dec 1949. Both are buried in the Brandon Hills Church Cemetery, Cornwallis R.M., Manitoba.
