|Notes: Stella Elizabeth Baker was born 4 Apr 1896 in the Rural Municipality of
Cornwallis, Manitoba. Her parents were Walter James Baker and
Sarah Margaret Murray. She had a twin brother, Stanley Ernest Baker.
In 1901, she was living with her family in Cornwallis, Brandon, Manitoba.
Her father was a farmer. Living with them were her maternal grandfather,
John Murray, and two boarders. In 1906, the family was living in the
City of Brandon. In 1911, still in Brandon, her father was an engineer.
By 1916, the family was farming in Twp. 9, R. 18, W 1st. M.|
Stella married Franklin Detwiller, sometime after the 1916 Manitoba census. Franklins's death certificate indicates their move to British Columbia was about 1924. Franklin died in 1950 in Vancouver, and is buried in the Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby. Stella died 4 Nov 1989 in Burnaby, British Columbia.
