Notes:  Henry Moote Baldwin was born 24 Jun 1899 in Hope, Steele, North Dakota.  His parents were Emerson Baldwin and Minnie Vandusen.  He was the seventh of thirteen children.  In the 1900 U.S. census, the family was living in Sherbrooke Twp., Steele County, North Dakota.  Emerson was a farmer.  Henry's siblings were John, 13, Francis, 10, Fanny, 7, and Gladys, 3.  Two of his older sisters had died young.

In the 1910 U.S. census, Henry was 10 years old.  His siblings at home included Francis J., 20, a farm worker, Fanny E., 17, Gladys M., 13, Nellie I., 9, George A., 7, Mabel S., 5, Minnie B., 4, and Emmerson B., 1.

On 12 Sep 1918, Henry, then 19, registered for the World War I draft.  He was described as being of medium height and build, with grey eyes and brown hair.  He was a farm worker, address 3, Hope, Steele, North Dakota.  His parents were listed as nearest relatives.

Henry is not found in the 1920 U.S. census.  In the 1925 North Dakota State Census, Henry is 25, and back with the family, along with his youngest two brothers Emerson, 16, and Richard, 15.

Henry Moote Baldwin married Marian Ida Pratt on 10 Oct 1928 in Cooperstown, Griggs, North Dakota.  Their first daughter, Peggy Ann, was born 5 Nov 1929 in Cooperstown.  In the 1930 U.S. census, Henry and Marion were living in Hugo Twp., Steele County, North Dakota.  Henry was a grain farmer.  Their daughter, Peggy N. Baldwin was 5 months old.

Their first son, Robert Lee, was born 8 Aug 1932 in Hope, Steele, North Dakota.  Their third son Richard Lyle was also born in Hope.  The family is not found in The 1940 U.S. census.

Henry died 25 Dec 1964 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  It is not known why Oklahoma.  His S.S. record states last residence was North Dakota.  He is buried in the Cooperstown Cemetery, Cooperstown, Griggs, North Dakota.
