| Notes: Herman Joseph Palzkill was born 7 Apr 1913 in Mineral Point, Iowa, Wisconsin.
His parents were Joseph H. Palzkill and Clara E. Rock. He was the fifth of
seven children. In the 1920 U.S. and 1930 censuses, the entire family was
living on their farm in Kendall Twp., Lafayette, Wisconsin. In the 1940 U.S.
census, Herman and his older brother Albert were the only children living with
their parents, and Albert was listed as a farmer and head of household. Herman,
now 27, was listed as an unpaid family worker. He had completed eighth grade. On 5 Sep 1942, Herman married Mary Evelyn Detwiller at St. Michaels Church, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They made their home in Dodgerville, Iowa, Wisconsin, where their fourteen children were born. Herman and Mary later made their home in Mineral Point, Iowa, Wisconsin. They were members of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Herman died 22 Mar 1996 in Mineral Point, and is buried in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Mineral Point, Wisconsin. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
