Notes:  Carl Don Stewart (Don) was born 26 May 1937 in Hinckley, Millard, Utah.  He was the last of eleven children of George Lyle Stewart and Clara May Walker.  His father George was a farmer.  His older siblings were Delna, born in Feb 1914; Norma in Oct 1915; Walker in May 1918; George Lyle in Nov 1919; Florence in Nov 1921; then Mary; Melba Jean in Aug 1925, Reed Murdoch in Sep 1927; Joy in Jan 1930, and Duane Walker in Nov 1932.  His brother Walker had died in Nov 1932.

In the 1940 U.S. census, Don was living with his family in Hinckley, Millard, Utah.  His parents owned their farm, valued at $1,500., and were living in the same house as in 1935.  His father George was a farmer, had completed four years of high school, and had earned $240. in 1939.  His mother Clara had completed one year of college.  The children at home were G. Lyle, 20, one year of college, working as a high school janitor, and had earned $175. in 1939; Florence, 18, three years of high school; Mary, 16, one year of high school, working as a janitor for the church school, and had earned $5. in 1939; Melba Jean, 14, 8th grade; Reed M., 12, 6th grade; Joy, 10, 4th grade; Duane W., 7; and Don, 2.  All of the children except Don attended school.

Don graduated from the Deseret Stake Seminary in 1964, and from Delta High School in 1955.  He joined the U.S. Navy, and served as an electrician aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Franklin D. Roosevelt, E Divn., 1956 - 1957.  Upon his discharge, he served an LDS Mission in the Western States Mission, serving in Missoula, Montana and Rapid City, South Dakota.  He attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in the Spring of 1965.

On 20 Aug 1965, Carl Don Stewart, 28, married Elizabeth Hannah Quinn, 21, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.  They initially made their home in Los Angeles, California where they both had employment.  Here they started their family of five children.  At some point they returned to Utah, living in Bountiful, Davis, Utah.

Don was an active member of the LDS Church, including temple work.  In later life he suffered from Lewy Body Dementia disease.  He died 18 Dec 2014 in Bountiful, Utah.  A memorial service was held at the 26th Ward chapel on 22 Dec 2014.
