She was the third child of Harry Wilson Dyer and Isabel Maxwell Strachan. Her older
siblings were Wilson Harry, born in 1911, and Marjorie Isabel, born in 1913, both in
New York. Her father was in the dairy industry. In the 1930 U.S. census, Inez was living with her family in the Antelope Twp., Los Angeles, California. Her father Harry was an alfalfa farmer, working on his own account. They owned the farm, but did not have a radio set. The children were Marjorie I., 16, and Inez G., 9, both attending school. Inez, 19, married Frank Vernon Carr, 20, on 28 Feb 1940 in Los Angeles County, California. In the 1940 U.S. census, Inez her husband Frank were living at 1011 N. Spazier Avenue, Burbank, Los Angeles, California. They owned their home with a value of $4,000. Inez had completed one year of high school. Her husband worked for Lockheed Aircraft. Inez and Frank had one son, Frank Steven Carr. The family moved to Littlerock in the Antelope Valley of Los Angeles County, where Frank helped manage his family's pear ranch. In 1948 and 1950, Inez and Frank were registered as Republicans living at 82nd st East, Littlerock. In 1952 their address was 138 hwy near 75 st., Littlerock. Inez Carr died 26 Jan 1983 in Los Angeles County, California. She is buried in the Desert Lawn Memorial Park, Palmdale, California. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
