| Notes: Lenore Eastman was born 7 Dec 1885 in North Dakota. Her parents were Thomas Eastman
and Ella McClanathan. Her maternal grandmother was Lydia McClanathan. In the
1900 U.S. census, she was living with her mother, sister Geraldine, and grandmother
in the Village of Sheldon, Ransom County, North Dakota. In the 1910 U.S. census,
the family also included a brother, Floyd. Lenore, at age 25, is a postal clerk. On 12 Oct 1912, Lenore married Horace A. Hollinshead in Hood River, Oregon. Five months later, Horace went missing. He left their home at 108 East Thirty-fifth Street, Portland, with the intention of going to Oregon City and down into southern Oregon, promising to write. Lenore reported him missing in April. Nothing more is known about Horace. In the 1915 North Dakota state census, Lenore is living back with her mother and grandmother in Sheldon, Ransom, North Dakota. In the 1920 U.S. census, Sheldon Village, Lenore is not working. In the 1930 U.S. and 1940 U.S. censuses, Sheldon, she is a deputy county auditor, working in the courthouse. In 1940, she is still living with her mother, but her grandmother has died. Lenore died in Nov 1979 in Lisbon, Ranson, North Dakota. Her burial place is unknown. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
