Notes:  Edward Cyril Holton was born 2 Feb 1908 in New Jersey.  His parents were Charles Cyril Holton and Laura Evens Albertson.  He had a younger brother, Frederick Tenney Holton.  In the 1910 U.S. census,Edward was 2 years, and the family was living at 79 Raritan Ave, Waterford Twp., Camden, New Jersey.  His father was an electrician in the electric lighting business.

In the 1920 U.S. census, Edward was 9 years.  His family was living on Ateo Avenue, Waterford Twp.  His father was now working for the telephone company as an electrician.

In the 1930 U.S. census, [Edward] Cyril, 21, was living at 1951 South Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California.  He was a sheet metal worker, working in a [auto] garage.  He was one of 6 lodgers, boarding with Rudolph and Anne Greenwood.

Edward married Stephanie Opid on 26 Dec 1930, in Santa Barbara, California.  In the 1940 U.S. census, they were living with her parents, Ludwik and Caroline Opid at 1018 South Gramercy Drive, Los Angeles.  This was their address in 1935 and in the Los Angeles (California) City Directory, 1938.  E. Cyril, 32, was an aeronautical engineer for an airplane manufacturing company.  He had had two years of college.

Edward was also an inventor.  On 9 Apr 1949, he filed for a patent with the U.S. government for an "Ammunition belt link guide mechanism for automatic guns". [Patent No. US 2466893 A]

Edward died 29 Jan 1996 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California.  His burial place is unknown.
