Notes:  Zella Peterson was born 15 Apr 1915 in Eureka, Juab, Utah.  She was the seventh child of Niels Alma Peterson and Annie Sophia Walker.  Her brother Karl Alma was born in 1901, and sister Verda in 1904 in Hinckley, Millard, Utah.  Her brother Laurence was born in 1905, brother Francis Leon in 1907, sister Clara in 1910, and brother Owen Rumel in 1912, all in Eureka.  Her younger brother Vernon LeRoy was born in 1917 in Eureka.  Her father Niels was a stationery engineer for the mines.

In late 1918, the Peterson family moved to Provo, Utah, Utah.  In the 1920 U.S. census, the family was living at 358 4th Street South, Provo Ward 2.  They owned their house with a mortgage, and her father Niels was an engineer for the Union Pacific railroad.  The children were Karl, 18, Verda, 16, Laurence, 14, Leone, 12, Clara, 9, Owen, 7, Zella, 5, and Vernon, 2.  Zella's last sister Elayne was born in Provo.

In the 1930 U.S. census, the Peterson family was living at 358 4th Street South, Provo.  They owned their house, valued at $3,000. and owned a radio set.  Zella's father Niels was a solicitor for a correspondence school.  The children at home were Lawrence, 24, solicitor for a correspondence school, Clara, 19, stenographer for a wholesale warehouse, Owen, 17, Zella, 14, Vernon, 12, and Elaine, 9.

In late summer of 1935, Zella spent several months visiting Southern California, the San Diego fair, and living with her brother Leon and his wife.  She attended Brigham Young University and was a member of the Beaux Arts unit team, which won the volley ball tournament in December 1935.

Zella married Ivan Kirk Brasher on 7 Feb 1936 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah.  The couple was wed by the Apostle Stephen L. Richards in the Salt Lake LDS temple.  [See newspaper text.]  The couple made their home at 91 West Second South street, Provo, Utah.

Zella had a serious illness in May of 1936, but recovered and was active in the social life of Provo.  The couple divorced some time in 1938, with Zella taking back her maiden name.  She was a member of the Les Amies club.

Zella married Carl Wilson Street, sometimes referred to as C. Wilson, on 10 Nov 1939 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah.  The ceremony was performed by Bishop Hartley.  [See newspaper text.]  At the time of their marriage, Carl was employed by the Utah Construction Company.

In the 1940 U.S. census, the couple was living with his parents, Rufus C. and Wilma Street, at 260 E. 2nd North, Provo, Utah, Utah.  Carl was working for the Tri-States Lumber Company.  Zella was a switch board operator for the Mountain States Telephone Company.

In 1944, Zella and Carl are listed in the Provo, Utah, City Directory at 855 N 3d West, Provo.  Carl was a foreman with Geneva Steel.  It is believed that Zella and Carl had four daughters, born in Utah and California.

Carl and Zella moved to Pittsburg, Contra Costa, California.  In the 1947, 1949 and 1952 Pittsburg, California, City Directories they are listed at 47 Columbia Park.  Carl was a foreman for the Columbia Steel Company.  In 1955 and 1959 they are listed at 90 Marcia Court, West Pittsburg.  In 1960 they and two of their daughters are listed at 58 Lakeview Drive, in the Shore Acres area of Pittsburg.

Zella returned to Provo, Utah, where a divorce was granted according to family members on 22 Apr 1964.  The divorce is reported in the Sunday Herald (Provo, Utah) in April 1965.  Custody arrangements were made for the minor children.

Zella married a third time to Marvin Robert Michie on 19 Dec 1969 in Provo, Utah, Utah.  This was the second marriage for Marvin, a widower.  The couple had no children of their own.

Marvin died 23 Oct 1983 in Orem, Utah, Utah.  His last residence was Provo, Utah.  He was buried with his first wife in the Tabiona-Redcliff Cemetery, Tabiona, Utah.  Zella's address in 1992 was reported as 601 N. 800 West, Provo.  She died 1 Dec 2007, and is buried alone in the Provo City Cemetery, Provo, Utah.
