In the 1930 U.S. census, Barbara was living with her family on North Main Street, Hinckley, Millard, Utah.  Her family owned their farm, but had no radio set.  Her father George was an inspector for the state agricultural department.  The children were Nella, 18, Benjamin, 14, Ruth, 10, G. Almon, 8, Francis 2, and Barbara, 1.  The older four children attended school.  Her younger brother Clair Albert was born in 1930.

In the 1940 U.S. census, Barbara was living with her family in Hinckley, Millard, Utah, in the same house as in 1935.  Her father George was a farmer.  The children at home were Ruth, 19, who had completed one year of college and was doing farm labor; G. When Barbara was 12, her family moved to Salt Lake City, living at 2124 Green.  She attended South High, graduating in 1947 as valedictorian.  She graduated from the University of Utah in 1951, and did her intern work in ditetics at the Highland Alameda Hospital, Oakland, California.  It was here that she met her future husband, Herbert Ungritch, who was doing his internship in medicine.

Barbara married Herbert Pyne Ungritch on 23 Jul 1952 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah.  After a honeymoon at Lake Louise in Canada, they made their home in East Mill Creek at 3569 27th East, Salt Lake City, Utah.  Here they raised six children.  Barbara's husband Herbert specialized in ophthalmology, and Barbara assisted him in his practice.  She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many positions, including as Ward Organist, and in the Primary and Relief Society.

Barbara suffered from Parkinson's disease and was cared for by her husband Herbert for the last four years of his life.  He passed away 14 Mar 2004.  She was cared for at the Murray Care Center for the last three years of her life.  Barbara Robison Ungricht passed away 23 Nov 2007 at the age of 78, in Murray, Salt Lake, Utah.  Funeral services were held at the East Millcreek Stake Center on 27 Nov 2007.  She was buried with her husband in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, Salt Lake City, Utah.
