Notes:  Ernest Reber married Rosina Sophia Staheli on 23 Dec 1896 in Santa Clara, Washington, Utah.  Of interest is that his sister Polly W. Reber married Rosina's brother Frank Staheli.  Ernest and Rosina made their life-long home in Santa Clara.  Their daughter Erma was born 7 Aug 1897.  They also had a child that died as an infant.  In the 1900 U.S. census, they and Erma were living in Santa Clara, and Ernest was listed as a minister.  Ernest traveled to Europe as a missionary returning from Liverpool, England, to Boston, Massachusetts, on the S.S. Commonwealth on 9 Feb 1901.

By the 1910 U.S. census, the family had grown.  Glen was born 18 Feb 1903, Spencer 29 Sep 1904, and Robert Mervin, 20 Mar 1907.  Ernest was farming on his own account.  Ellis was born 19 Sep 1910, shortly after the census was taken.  In the 1920 U.S. census, the family included Ernest's father Fredrick Reber, and a lodger Mary Stucki.

In the 1930 U.S. census, Ernest and Rosina had a housefull.  Their daughter Erma was no longer at home, but all four of their sons were living in the home.  Their oldest son Glen was married to Elsie, and they had three young children.  Spencer was married to Britta, and they had a young baby.

In 1947, both Ernest and Rosina continued to sing as members of the Swiss Singers.  Ernest was still farming in 1950 at the age of 74 years.  He died in a farming accident on 19 Aug 1950.  Rosina died 10 Mar 1958.  Both are buried in the Santa Clara City Cemetery, Santa Clara, Utah.
