Notes:  Alexander B. Detwiller (Alex) and Agnes Janes Roger, both 29 years old, were married 14 Feb 1900 in the Avonbank Presbyterian Church, Motherwell, Ontario.  He was a resident of North Dakota, she a resident of Fullarton Twp., Perth, Ontario.  Their witnesses were Wm. Brown and Lizzie Roger, who was probably her younger sister.  The local newspaper reported that they departed for North Dakota about 1 Mar 1900.

The 1900 through 1930 U.S. and North Dakota census records report that Alex was a grain farmer.  Their farm was located about 8 miles northwest of Cooperstown, Tyrol Twp., Griggs County.  Alex became a naturalized citizen in 1902, and Agnes by 1920.  The couple did not have any children.  Agnes died 6 Feb 1938, in Griggs County, North Dakota.  Alex died 26 Apr 1954 in Vancouver, British Columbia.  Both are buried in the Cooperstown Cemetery, Cooperstown, North Dakota.
