Notes: Robert Walton Olson, 22, and Edna Sackett, 18, filed an Affidavit for
Marriage License on 18 Feb 1939 in Yuma, Yuma, Arizona. It is presumed that they were
married the same day. Edna was actually only 16, and listed her birth date as
18 Feb 1921. Robert was actually only 19.
In the 1940 USA census, Robert Olson, 20, and his wife Edna Olson, 17, were living at
2002 West Chestnut, San Gabriel, Los Angeles, California. Robert had completed
three years of high school, Edna had completed two years of high school. Robert
was a glazier for a lumber company,and had earned $1,560. in the prior year.
They were renting their residence for $25. a month.
Edna and Robert had a daughter, Eleanor Joan Olson, born in 1941. In the San
Gabriel City Directory, 1941, Robert and Edna are listed at 526 Pondosa av,
San Gabriel. Robert was a glazier. It is not known how long this marriage
lasted; however Robert is listed at his parents' address in 1943.
