"The Soldier's Reception."  Alhambra Advocate, Alhambra, Cal., Saturday, October 28, 1899, Vol. 2, No. 4, p. 1, col. 4. The reception given at K. of P. hall last Saturday evening in honor of Jacob Koch and his Manila comrades, Ed Sutton, Roy and Fred Murray, was largely attended by the representative people of Alhambra and it was a pleasing success.  The hall was tastefully decorated with the national colors and flowers.  Henry Olson of the reception committee, was in charge. A mixed quartette, composed of Misses Madge De Camp and Georgie Jaques, and Messrs. Henry Olson and Harry Lane, followed, after which 'Home Sweet Home' was sung by the audience. The reception committee, who had the affair in charge, were as follows:  Miss Josie Olson, Jennie Bean, Jennie Harris, Messrs. Dura Blackburn, Howard Winsor, and Henry Olson.
