"Words of Gratitude." The Advocate and Valley Vista, Alhambra, Cal., Saturday, May 17, 1902, Vol. 4, No. 31, p. 1, col. 2. We desire to publicly express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation of the many kind offices extended us during the illness and at the funeral of our beloved daughter[Josie Olson]. Especially were we affected by the fraternal regard and attention of members of the Order of the Eastern Star paid to their deceased sister. Also to the Charter Oak people and school children for their attendance with floral wreath. Other beautiful floral offerings were likewise appreciated. The many expressions of sympathy and acts of courtesy we have received will never be forgotten.
