Two died in the wreckage of a small plane that crashed in the yard of the Temple City home of animator Ward Kimball. "We heard a loud roar and two seconds later we heard the crash," said Kimball. The crash occurred after a collision with another craft over the San Gabriel Valley. The other plane, with a severly damaged propeller, made a safe landing at Burbank.
