"Old Time Resident Goes to H ..."  (Jan 23, 1921).  Undated newspaper clipping from Olson/Noble memorabilia.

    "Hans Olson, who has made Alhambra his home for the past thirth-eight years, died at his home on North Wilson avenue Sunday.
    Mr. Olson was born in Norway eight-nine years ago and came to the United States when only eighteen years old.  In 1853 he came across the plains to California and settled in the south.  He was one of the first members taken into the Masonic Lodge of Alhambra after the charter was drawn.
    He is survived by his wife Mary, three sons and three daughters.  Frank and Henry Olson, Mrs. Arthur Lawyer and Mrs. T.J. Ferrell of Alhambra, Geo. Olson of Rittsville, Washington, and Mrs. Vernon Carr of Covina.
    Funeral services were held at the parlors of Turner, Stevens and Turner this afternoon at two o'clock under the auspices of the Masonic Lodge, the Rev. Kennedy officiating.  Internment was made in the San Gabriel Cemetery."
