Mrs. John Detwiller (Gertrude) Obituary
| Mrs. John Detwiller. January 21, 1951. Mrs. John Detwiller, resident of Griggs Co. since early in the century, passed away at Jamestown Sunday, Jan. 21. An Eastern Star funeral was held at the Cooperstown Masonic temple Wednesday afternoon at 2:00. Rev. K. Wuflestad assisted. Gertrude Idalette Sherman was born at Seymour, Wis., Feb 25, 1873. She was married to John Detwiller Feb. 16, 1904 at Seymour and came to Cooperstown with her husband to farm north of town. Mr. Detwiller passed away Sept. 21, 1941. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Myrtle McKechnie of Duluth, Minn. and several neices and nephews. Mrs. Detwiller was a member of the Pres. Ch. here and held a life membership in the Eastern Star and was a member of the Past Patrons. |
