After a courageous battle with cancer, Ivan Felix, 85, died
July 8, 1998, in Springville, Utah. He was born November 18, 1912, in Hinckley, Utah, to
Jacob and Permelia Greener Felix. He married
Gladys Thompson October 1, 1943, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died in January 1953. He
married Juanita Barney Alvey in July 1953.
Ivan is survived by his wife, Juanita; children: James (Monta) Felix, of Estes
Park, CO; Karl (Merlene) Felix of Highland; Gordon (JoAnn) Felix of West Jordan; Beth (Tommy) George of
Orem; stepsons: Jerald (Tammy) Alvey of Orem; Tom (April) Alvey of Salem; Ron (Karin) Alvey of Centerville;
Wallace (Sharon) Alvey of Kaysville; 35 grandchildren; one brother, Leo Felix of
Springville; sisters Eileen Johnson of Salt Lake; LaZell Druce of Orem.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Gladys; two sisters:
Burnell Felix and Lola Larsen; one grandson, Gregory Felix.
