Couple Observe Golden Wedding
      Mr. and Mrs. Thomas R. Greener, well known and highly respected citizens of Springville, will observe their fifthieth wedding anniversary on Thursday, Oct 27."
      In celebration of the occasion they invite their friends, relatives and neighbors to attend an open house reception at their home on South Fourth East street, from 2 until 5 p.m., next Thursday.
      In the evening, the family will gather in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Felix, for a dinner given in honor of the couple.
      Mr. and Mrs. Greener were married at Joseph, Sevier county, October 27, 1888.  They came to Springville in 1919 from Hinckley, where they had resided 27 years.  Before coming to Hinckley, they had lived in Sevier and Kanosh.
      Mr. Greener took a prominent part in the industrial development of Hinckley and was a successful farmer and stockman of that vicinity.  He was also active in church work, having served on a mission to the northwestern states a few years prior to coming to Springville.  He was a councelor in the Springville First ward bishopric from 1920 to 1924, assisting with the building plans for the ward chapel.
      Mrs. Greener has also taken an active part in the L.D.S. church work, having served as a councelor in the Relief Society at Hinckley, and has been a faithful ward member here.
      The couple have four children, Mrs. Jacob Felix of Springville; John Greener of Heber City; J.A. and Ray Greener of Helper; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, most of whom will be in attendance to celebrate the golden wedding anniversary.
