Couple Mark 53 Wedded Years Monday

      SPRINGVILLE - Mr. and Mrs. Thomas R. Greener, residents of Springville since 1919, will celebrate 53 years of wedded life on Monday at their home, Fifth South and Fourth East streets.
      The couple came here from Hinckley, where they were active in the L.D.S. church and civic affairs.  They had previously lived in Kanosh and Sevier.
      Mr. Greener was born at Fort Ephraim January 13, 1868, and spent his boyhood in that vicinity.  He became a successful farmer and stockman at Hinckley.  During his early life he filled an L.D.S. mission in the northwestern states.  He served in the Springville First L.D.S. ward bishopric from 1920 to 1924, assisting with construction of the ward chapel.
      Mrs. Lucinda Peterson Greener was born at Lehi, January 29, 1872.  She has served as an executive officer and a teacher in the Hinckley and Springville First wards.
      The couple were married at Joseph, Sevier county, October 27, 1888.  They have have three sons and a daughter, Mrs. Jacob Felix of Springville; John Greener of Heber; J.A. and Ray Greener of Helper; also 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
