Myron was born April 18, 1928 to Albert C. Christensen and Esther Nielsen in Oasis, UT.  After his East Central States Mission, he married his sweetheart, Joy Stewart May 1, 1952 in the Manti LDS Temple.  He farmed in Oak City for 10 years, moved to Salt Lake City and worked at Tooele Army Depot as a diesel mechanic, where he retired, 1991.  He lived in West Jordan for 20 years.  Myron served as a faithful teacher, chorister, temple worker, Elders Quorum president, Scout leader, High Priest Group Leader and Home Teacher.  He served in the Florida Tallahassee Mission with Joy, 1999-2000, which was a highlight in their lives.  Myron loved to hunt, camp, fish, spend time with his family, was very talented in making crafts, rugs and quilts.  He especially loved gardening and seeing the Lord's beauty of the earth.  He was a Master Gardener here and probably will be the same in the life hereafter.  He studied and grew beautiful flowers and vegetables which he shared with everyone.
He is survived by his wife, Joy; sons, Dale (Tammy), Mark (Joyce), Lynn (Brenda); daughter, Wendy (Nelson) Michaelson; brother, Antone; and sister, Laura.  His posterity includes 10 grandchildren and one great-grand-child.  Myron was preceded in death by their baby son, Ken Stewart Christensen; sister, Verona; and parents.
A funeral will be Tues. Feb 11, 11 a.m. Jordan North LDS 5th Ward Chapel, 4145 S. 3920 W, West Valley City, where friends may call Mon. 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service.  Interment, Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 S. Redwood Rd, West Jordan.  Directors, Redwood Memorial Mortuary.  His wife and family wish to thank the great outpouring of love shown to them.
