| Notes: Elkanah was a "fake" preacher from New York.
Francis Bird, Sr., insisted that Sarah divorce Elkanah
and Frank, Sr., paid the $5.00 that it cost. On 05 Feb 1848 Sarah divorced
Elkanah and had her name restored to Bird. Can you imagine the gossip?
Divorce was rare then and Sarah's father was an ordained minister!
