      A 28-year-old former Napan was honored with an invitation to speak at the 22nd annual technical meeting of the American Society for Quality Control at Philidelphia, Pa.
      Daniel W. Hancock, son of Mrs. Stewart Duhig of 1147 Hardman Ave., presdented a paper entitled "Design of Reliability Information Systems."  The published document deals with the highly technical science of computers.
      Hancock, now a resident of Anaheim, is a member of the autonetics division staff of the North American Rockwell Corp., while he is working for a doctor's degree at the University of California at Los Angeles.
      He was graduated from Napa High School in 1957, and received an electronic engineering degree from California Polytechnic at San Luis Obispo in 1961.
He and his wife, Dianna, are the parents of a 5-year-old son, Richard, and a daughter Kathy, 2.
      His father, Warren Hancock, is a resident of San Lorenzo.
