Notes: In the 1925 Kansas State census, John Sams, 30, and his wife Mable Sams, 25,
were living in Garfield Twp., Ottawa, Kansas. Both had been born in Kansas, and
John was a farmer. They had a daughter, Phyllis Sams, 2, also born in Kansas.
In the 1930 U.S. census, John, 35, and Mable 29, were still in Garfield Twp., and John, a
general farmer, owned the land. The family had a radio. Their two daughters were
Phyllis, 7, and Donna, 2½. |
