H. E. Baldwin Rites to be Held Friday
Traffic Crash Victim Was M-G-M Employee For Twenty-five Years
Funeral services for Herold Edward Baldwin, 42-year-old assistant M-G-M Studio cameraman who lost his life in a traffic accident Monday night, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in United Presbyterian Church, 3768 Delmas Terrace, with Dr. Carl S. Dunn officiating.
Baldwin died in Santa Monica Emergency Hospital from internal injuries sustained when the motor scooter he was riding skidded and crashed on Washington Boulevard near Berryman Avenue.
At first it was believed by Culver City police that a hit-run driver had been responsible for the accident, but further investigation revealed no indication of another vehicle being involved in the crash which took Baldwin's life.
Well-Known Here Baldwin was well-known in Culver City, having resided here for the past 25 years. He had been associated with M-G-M for the same number of years, except for three years in which he served as an instructor in photography with the U. S. Army Signal Corps in both the European and Pacific Theaters during World War II. He was born in Newark, N.J.
Baldwin was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church and a member of Local 659, I.A.T.S.E.
He leaves his widow, Ethelyn, his father, Edward J. Baldwin, of 3744 Bagley Ave., Palms, and one brother, Earl W. Baldwin, well-known Warner Bros. screen writer, residing in Sherman Oaks.
Interment will be in Inglewood Park Cemetery.
