Notes:  Ida Roberta Bacon was born 15 Aug 1887 probably in Colebrook, Ashtabula, Ohio.  Her parents were Dillon A. Bacon and Emma Fee.  She had two younger siblings, Mary and Homer.  In later years she always went by the name Roberta rather than Ida.

In the 1900 U.S. census, Ida R. Bacon, 12, was living with her family in Colebrook, Ashtabula, Ohio.  Her father Dillon, 39, and mother Emma, 40, were farmers.  Her siblings were Mary, 20, and Homer, 3.  Ida and Mary attended school. Williams C. Rodgers, 16, was a farm laborer.

About 1906, Ida married Lyman J. Brown.  In the 1910 U.S. census, Ida, 22, was living with her husband Lyman, 25, on Nopal Wood Avenue in Ashtabula, Ashtabula, Ohio.  Lyman was a batterman for Lake Shore Digging.  The 1910 Astabula Directory lists their street address as Columbus E.V., and Lyman as a clerk.

In the 1920 U.S. census, Ida R. Brown, 31, and Lyman J. Brown, 33, were living at 11431 Clifton Boulevard, Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio.  Ida was a saleslady in a department store, and Lyman was a time keeper for a manufacturing company.  The marriage did not last.

Ida married Edward Muessel, on 8 Aug, 1928 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio.  Edward was born in Alsace-Lorraine and had immigrated to the United States in 1890.  In the 1930 U.S. census, Ida, 40, and Edward, 50, were living at 1641 Belmar Road, Cleveland Hieghts, Cuyahoga, Ohio.  He was a retail and whoklesale meat merchant.  They were renting their home for $67.50 a month.

Edward Muessel died 30 Sep 1938, and about 1939 Ida moved to Miami, Florida.  In Cleveland, she had been a member of the Federation of Women's clubs, and here she was a member of the Fort-nightly Musical club and the Cinema club.

In the 1940 U.S. census, Ida, 39, was living at 961 S W Second Street, Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio.  She was a housekeeper for Willard W. Ingalls, 49, a construction electrician, his wife Dorothy B., 42, and their son Robert Warren, 9.  Ida had earned $350. over 33 weeks, and had finished four years of high school.

After a year long courtship, Ida Roberta Muessel married David T. Williams on 3 Jun 1940 in Miami, Dade Florida.  It was a midnight wedding in the Westminster Church, and Dave left immediately immediately to take a plane to Seattle, Washington.  Roberta followed by motor.

On 16 Oct 1940 when Dave registered for the WW II draft, they were living at 7615 Sand Point Way, Seattle, King, Washington.  He was employed by Pan American Airways.

Dave and Roberta retired to Fort Bragg, California, in 1947 and purchased 0.15 acres of land there.  The address was probably 32584 Casa Del Noyo Drive, where they built a concrete block house.  Dave then talked his brother Simon into joining him, buying a fishing boat, going into the commercial fishing business, and operating out of Noyo harbor.  The venture failed, however, when Simon got deathly sea sick every time they went fishing.  However, until 1948, Dave and Roberta frequently vacationed with Simon and Bess in the latter's cabin cruiser on trips on the Napa, Sacramento, and San Joaquin rivers.

In the 1950 USA census, Roberta, 60, and David, 45, were living in Ten Mile River, Mendocino, California.  He was the manager of a stationary airport, for S.W. Air Ways.

Roberta died 19 Apr 1978 at the Sherwood Oak Health Center, Fort Bragg, at age 90.  Cremation followed at Ukiah, Mendocino, California.
