Notes:  Letha was born in 1902 in Monticello, California, and was raised there.  She married Henry in 1920 in Napa when she was age 18, and then resided with her husband on their ranch in Monticello.

In 1930 Letha was a registered Democrat.  The photo at the left below shows Letha (at the left) with her sister Edna circa 1932.

In 1942 their Monticello residence had no telephone.  The photo to the right below shows Letha at their ranch circa 1945.
Letha Evadna Adams
During the post-war years Letha's life was upset by the planning for and building of the Monticello dam.  She was shocked by the razing of Monticello's houses to make way for Lake Berryessa.  In 1955, after living on the ranch for 35 years, Henry and Letha left because of the raising waters of the Lake, moved to St. Helena, and retired.

In 1983 Letha became a widow when Henry passed on at their residence in St. Helena.  During her remaining years she lobbied against the neglect of the Monticello Cemetary.  She said It is sacred ground to us.  She became the de facto expert and historian on the northeastern Napa County, the Berryessa Valley, and Samuels Springs.  She contributed to the A Look Back articles in The Napa Valley Register by Bob McKenzie — and to Amy J. Boyer's text in the University of California Davis book on Lake Berryessa.

In 2003 she passed away at age 100 in Rutherford.
